DESCRIPTION
- The unique atmosphere of early evening, with the golden light of the setting sun was the inspiration for our new dial colour Dune. A major pillar of the collection since 1998, the Portugieser Chronograph is distinguished by its easy-to-read dial with the vertically arranged totalizers. The quarter-seconds precision scale reflects the Portugieser’s DNA as a measuring instrument. The IWC-typical, vertical arrangement of the subdials displays the stopped minutes directly at the 12 o’clock position and places the small seconds at 6 o’clock. This layout enhances readability and has made the Portugieser Chronograph a design icon. Another feature is the inner flange printed with a quarter-second scale, enabling high-precision stop-time readings.
